Barford - 10th July 2005 - English Championship QR3
Heat 1 - The sun was beating down hard today most of us were shattered before we even raced. There was 16 cars out for this one I was third on the grid, I got a good start and was keeping with the front two and was about to make a move on them when the leader spun right in front of me, somehow I managed to stop before I hit him, But it lost me a lot of place I ended up 5th.
Heat 2 - Missed this one with car troubles.
Final - This was one of the fastest races I've ever done it was frantic from lap one, I finished 7th. But two cars were docked for contact so I got 6th (Thanks Lads).
GN - I started on the outside again for this one and got off to a flyer with 5 to go I was leading but two cars were closing in with three to go I spotted a huge line of oil right across the corner so took avoiding action, unfortunately three cars got past (one mistake is so costly) on the next lap one of the cars went straight into the fence on the same oil I got 3rd.
Overall it was a good day I scored 24 points and secured a row six start for the Championship and the car stayed in one piece hopefully it can improve now.

Barford - 29th May 2005 - English Championship QR2
Heat 1 - After a decent start I got to half way only for the entire throttle linkage to fall off.
Heat 2 - Throttle fixed, bad luck all used up, WRONG at half way I hit a huge patch of oil and water causing a big spin. I rejoined only to discover it was MY water!!! My engine blew a machine fitted dowel out of the engine. Result no water and lousy luck.
Final - After hasty repairs I only just made the grid opting for a cautious approach which resulted in ninth place/
GN - I was up for this, a chance to gain some points. After some
very hard and fast racing I got fifth which wasn’t bad from the back of the
pack with all the fast blues getting away.

Barford - 15th May 2005
Heat 1 - After a slow start in this one due to two cars detonating there engines in front of me and not being able to see a thing, I tiptoed to a ninth place finish. The first points of the season.
Heat 2 - I was keen to do well in this race and went for it from the drop of the green, as I caught the pack we got a huge bang from the engine followed by complete silence, end of race.
Final - I missed this race while we were scratching our heads working out what went wrong. Thanks to ALL the other drivers for helping.
GN - Only six cars made the grid for this one and I was ready to let rip. Within fours laps I had half a lap lead and YES you guessed it my good luck struck again with five to go the throttle cable snapped.

A furious start to this one after 251 Karl Callahan spinning in front of me, I managed to avoid him which caused 165 Rob Broomfield to climb over my front wing, which looked very spectacular from where I was sitting unfortunately I had to retire. |

With £100 prize money up for grabs everyone was fired up for this one and hectic race ensued I was going well fast past way and was lying in third place, unfortunately I got passed by a few other cars ending up 6th. |
Last Man Out - 8th
A different approach in this race with the last car being black flagged it actually turned out to be quiet race, I got 8th.
Grand National - 6th
| Not so many cars out for this, and a dreadful start from the starter meant the reds and blues were half a lap down, I finished 6th. |

Heat 1 - 4th
Saw a debut for a beautiful new Ford Ka for 805 Chris Bryan there was 18 cars out for this one, and it was fast and furious. From the start I got tucked up in a fast moving train of cars which is how we all stayed till the chequered, despite being bumper to bumper all the way round. I finished 4th after out running 804 in a drag race to the line.
Heat 2 - 5th
Another extremely fast race which was extremely hard work in the high temperatures.
Final - 5th
The 20 lap final which got of to a furious start, I was up to third within six laps and stayed there until two to go when two different cars blew up leaving two separate oil trains around the circuit. Which made racing conditions extremely tricky and prompted desperate measures into the final corner which lead to a sprint to the line I finished 5th the race was won by 538 Charlie Whitfield.
Grand National - 4th
Once again Charlie had cleared off in this one which left the rest of us to catch him up. After a tiring race I finished 4th in all a very good and enjoyable days racing.

Heat 1 - 10th
| Saw a debut for the beautiful new Corsa of 804 Danny Snowden. All cars on track including a debut for Charlie Whitfield the promoters son in the ex Stu Wilson Astra. Once the race got under way it was fast and furious from the start. I soon caught the pack of blues and yellows, but despite trying all I could, I finished tenth. |
|
Heat 2 - 9th
Once again the flying white's and yellows were away and gone in this one. It was an extremely quick race and Charlie Whitfield took his first ever race win. I finished a hard fought ninth.
Final - DNF
The
car was really on form in this one and with one lap to go I was in
fifth place entering the pit turn at speed I lost my outside front
wheel sliding into 102 Kris Callaghan which stopped me crashing into
the fence so no points in this one, won again by Charlie Whitfield.
